Pork Production

This major national provider of finished pork products desired to add a completely new pork injection process to their existing plant. The new process required DCS to quickly design and install a new conveyor system that re-routed six major production lines to and thru a new 10,000 square foot addition of the plant. In addition, we were required to relocate all existing packaging equipment and provide 6 new empty carton supply lines, bringing cartons from an existing case erector room that was located in such an area of the facility that we needed to exit the existing facility at the ceiling 'Tees' and re-enter the new addition just below the roof line. It was thus necessary to shroud all conveyors from the elements as they spanned between the two facilities. After packaging, DCS was required to deliver the cartons of injected pork to an existing case sealer room, where they were to be sealed and labeled, and then conveyed to a storage cooler. The majority of the conveyors had to be USDA compliant and thus had to be fabricated from stainless steel components utilizing Intrlaox belting. These special conveyors were fabricated in our Nashville TN facility. The entire installation had to be completed without any interruption to their normal production process.
